One Room Challenge - Week 5

May 1, 2015

Hello! If you're visiting from the One Room Challenge - welcome! If you've been here before, welcome to the newly designed Simply Inspired Blog. I'm extremely excited about the new look created here. It feels very much in line with the next step of growth and planning that I have in mind for the blog. The simple style and modern black and white colours are just the right fit for my style. Have a look around, enjoy, and let me know what you think. In addition to the changing the look, I've also re-organized the labels to make them more specific and easier to use.

Now - onto today's post....It's Week 5 of the One Room Challenge which means there is only 1 week to go! eeeeek!
Am I ready? Not quite, although I'm making good progress.

If you follow me on Instagram (and if you don' should!), then you would have possibly seen the pic I posted last week of some items I picked up at Home Sense for the spare bedroom:

     -  2 fluffy grey rugs for either side of the bed
     -  White curtains
     -  Striped white and teal sheets
     -  Throw pillow
     -  Mirror (not pictured)
     -  Chair (not pictured)

I'm keeping the colours fairly neutral (as I tend to do!) - sticking with greys and a light teal colour for accent.
As I mentioned last week, closet doors, mouldings and trim have all been installed. Here's the final list of non-decor related items left to do:

     -  Fill in nail holes on trim
     -  Paint mouldings, doors and trim
     -  Install closet organizer
     -  Install light fixture (we've been having trouble with this!)

No doubt, I have a busy weekend ahead of me, but I can see the finish line now and am so excited to see this room finalized.

In case you've missed the progress on this room, here are the links to previous weeks' posts.

Week 3 (I didn't post this week)

And don't forget to check out all of the other projects that are happening as part of the One Room Challenge by visiting Linda's blog, Calling it Home.

Happy Friday!
I hope you all have a great weekend & best of luck to my fellow One Room Challenge participants on getting your projects ready for the big reveal next week.
