Christmas Home Tour

Dec 24, 2016

As it's Christmas Eve, I'd like to wish you & yours a very wonderful holiday season!
This blog post is a little later than I had planned, but what better time to share my Christmas Home Tour than Christmas Eve? After weeks of prepping and planning and busy days, the time has finally come to sit back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful holiday decor.

This year I stepped completely out of my comfort zone and decorated our tree with bright, fun, playful colors - pink, turquoise and green with lots of glitter and sparkle. I really love how it turned out.
The rest of my Christmas decor was kept fairly traditional with reds, greens, golds and silvers. This year I even decided to put up a second tree in the dining room which I decorated in neutrals of white, black and silver.

Hosting friends and family is one of my favourite things to do during the holidays. I like to set the dining room table and have it all ready for when guests arrive. The dining room decor was kept fairly neutral with metallic accents adding some holiday flavour.

Since we are spending our first Christmas Eve at home (we usually stay with family), I decided to add some touches of Christmas decor to our master bedroom as well. The beautiful lumbar pillow with mittens is by local textile artist Brindy Linens. The Christmas items on my nightstand I've had since childhood and are very special to me.

Thank you for coming along on this tour.
I'm off to get ready for Christmas Eve festivities - dinner and traditions with family.
